Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law
he meditates day and night.
PSALMS 1:1-2
The law of Thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces (Ps 119:72). In the way of Thy testimonies I delight as much as in all riches (Ps 119:14). Thy testimonies are my delight, they are my counselors (Ps 119:24). Thy testimonies are my heritage for ever; yea, they are the joy of my heart (Ps 119:111).
How sweet are Thy words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! (Ps 119:103). With open mouth I pant, because I long for Thy commandments (Ps 119:131). Let Your compassion come to me that I may live, for Your law is my delight (Ps 119:77).
I take delight in the law of God, in my inner self, but I see in my members another principle at war with the law of my mind, taking me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. - Romans 7:22-23
The Gentiles were delighted when they heard this and glorified the word of the Lord. - Acts 13:48
